Back again for 2010, the FISE blew away the European public with some of the best rail riding in the world. With a similar course to last year, the Sesitec System 2 was once again brought in to be the tow apparatus of choice for an event like this. With 2 System 2′s in action, the riders had the chance to hit both sides of the rail park to lay down their best runs. With riders coming from all over the world, all the best rail riders in the wakeboarding industry turned out for the event. Returning this year was last years winner, Keith Lidberg, who dominated the event in 2009. Other notable athletes were Kevin Henshaw, Oliver Derome and Marc Rossiter from the UK.
The weekend of riding saw the best of the best proceed to the super final on Sunday, where the riders got 2 run’s of each System up and down the park. The final saw Keith Lidberg, Oliver Derome, Raphael Derome and Kevin Henshaw all lay down the best they had from a whole weekend of riding. When all was said and done, it was youngster Raphael Derome who narrowly took the top spot away from Keith Lidberg. With Raphael taking his first FISE win, the rest of the final 4 took their places on the podium as follows:
1st – Raphael Derome 2nd – Keith Lidberg 3rd – Kevin Henshaw 4th – Oliver Derome
Best Rail Trick – Kevin Henshaw
Best Kicker Trick – Keith Lidberg
Once again the FISE event was an awesome display of wakeboarding, skateboarding, BMX and more. We look forward to seeing the 2011 FISE…..
