TheWakePlace.com crew headed down to the Projects to get a closer look at our new innovative straight-line cable, the Sesitec System 2.0. They caught up with Parks Bonifay, Meagan Ethell and Nicola Butler who were there to session the cable. Coach Mike Ferraro actually taught Meagan (11 years old) her first Raley during the filming. Airing Monday, November 3, at 8:30pm ET and 11:30pm ET (5:30pm PT and 8:30pm PT), and re-airing several more times over the next month, FUEL TV will showcase the “Red Bull Wake Lab.”
History was made in the wake capitol of the world during Surf Expo weekend, as 22,000 fans packed the shores at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando to watch 24 of the best wakeboarders push the sport to a new level for the Red Bull Wake Lab. A novel structure resembling a street course amazed the crowd and challenged riders such as JD Webb, Aaron Rathy, Parks Bonifay, and Adam Errington, utilizing the brand-new Sesitec System 2.0 cableway, courtesy of The Wake Park Project.
Video teaser of the Red Bull Wake Lab show on Fuel TV:
The elements included an elevated pool, handrails, transfers and huge quarterpipe, which were all inspired by today’s contemporary skate and snow parks. Judges included freestyle snowboarder Pat Moore, Skate Park of Tampa’s Ryan Clements, in addition to some wake industry veterans. With the city skyline serving as the backdrop, Red Bull’s Wake Lab was by far one of the coolest, most innovative events the sport has ever seen.

Monday 11/3/08 11:30pm ET / 8:30pm PT
